Howto reset factory defaults Cisco ASA Series 5500 series 5505 5510 5520

1. Connect Console port for Cisco ASA

You can use Putty or Hyperterminal

– Bits per second: 9600

– Data bits: 8

– Parity: None

– Stop bits: 1

– Flow control: None

2. Configure factory default to Cisco ASA

ASA > en
ASA# conf t
ASA (config)#config factory-default
ASA (config)#reload save-config noconfirm

3. After reboot, you should remember your enable password to log in Cisco ASA and default IP : 192.168.1.1

ASA# show version
