SNMP helps network administrator to collect and organise information about managed devices on IP networks and for modifying that information to change device behavior. It’s great protocol to manage network devices by Network Monitor Tool: cacti, PRTG, MRTG ….

Example: we are configuring Read-only community on Extreme “ROP@ssw0rd”

Configuration:
