How to Fix Upgrade Ubuntu Error: AttributeError: type object ‘DistUpgradeFetcherCore’ has no attribute ‘run_options’

1. Error we are getting:

root@ubuntu:~# sudo do-release-upgrade -d

2. How to fix that error

root@ubuntu:~# apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
root@ubuntu:~# sudo do-release-upgrade -d
