Howto Install nslookup on Centos or RedHat RHEL

 

1. Check nslookup command

[root@localhost ~]# nslookup
-bash: /usr/bin/nslookup: No such file or directory
[root@localhost ~]#

2. Install nslookup command by yum

[root@localhost ~]# yum install bind-utils
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit, security
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* base: mirrors.ta139.com
* epel: mirrors.ustc.edu.cn
* extras: mirrors.ta139.com

3.  Test nslookup command

[root@localhost ~]# nslookup yahooo.com

Address: 98.139.102.145[root@localhost ~]#
